FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Bearing in mind that every reader has different levels of comfort regarding adult content, The Bridge Kingdom and Saga of the Unfated books are the spiciest, with mild sexual content that gradually gets spicier with each book. Intimate acts are fully described on the page, though there are typically only two-three scenes per book. Both The Bridge Kingdom and Saga of the Unfated are intended for adult audiences. They are not intended for young adults.

Dark Shores is a Young Adult series, so there is light spice, with a fade-to-black scene in Dark Shores. Gilded Serpent, Tarnished Empire, and Scorched Earth have one-two scenes of on-page intimacy.

Stolen Songbird, also a Young Adult series, has fade-to-black scenes.

  • All review/ARC requests are managed by Del Rey and Penguin Random House. If you are interested in an ARC/review copy, please contact them (delRey@randomhouse.com). Due to the contract with Audible, there will not be review copies of The Bridge Kingdom series.

  • I have recently made the decision to clarify and streamline my approach to the sale of artwork and merchandise based on my novels.

I (Danielle L. Jensen) am the owner of the intellectual property that I have created. All individuals or corporations are required to have my permission to use my name and intellectual property to sell merchandise.

That said, I strongly support artists and sellers of merchandise in the bookish community, so I give my permission to take inspiration from the Bridge Kingdom series, the Dark Shores series, and the Malediction series for the creation and sale of the following items:

    • Candles

    • Art Prints (excluding dust jackets or posters sized as dust jackets. See below.)

    • Quote Art (Less than two sentences ONLY)

    • Soap or other personal products

    • Bookmarks

    • Pins

    • Jewelry

    • Patches

    • Key chains

    • Stickers

    • Pens/pencils

    • Wearables (shirts, etc.)

    • Drinkware

    • Totes

    • Book sleeves

    • Funkos and plushies

Please do NOT market your merchandise as 'officially licensed' as this is misrepresentation of the permissions I have given.

Artists and vendors wishing to sell alternative dust jackets or posters sized as dust jackets must email my agent, Tamar Rydzinski (tamar@contextlit.com) for permission, and standard royalty rates will apply.

Artists and vendors wishing to sell items not included in the list of approved items above must email my agent, Tamar Rydzinski (tamar@contextlit.com) for permission, and standard royalty rates may apply.

Official licensing for merchandise is NOT available for A Fate Inked in Blood (Saga of the Unfated), with the exception of dust jackets.

Special edition rights enquires for Saga of the Unfated and The Bridge Kingdom series should be directed to the publisher, Del Rey Books. For the Dark Shores series, please approach Tor Teen about special editions.

I do NOT give permission for artists or vendors to use for the purposes of sale official cover artwork, official character artwork, official maps, official logos, book interior designs, or excerpts longer than two complete sentences. Takedown notices will be issued to anyone found using these materials for profit.

All artwork should be entirely original or use images licensed for commercial use. Until such time as copyright law becomes more clear, I do NOT grant license to individuals using computer generated (Ai) artwork. Takedown notice will be issued to individuals found in violation of these terms.

I (Danielle L. Jensen) have a firm policy of not working with or endorsing any artists or vendors who engage in hateful or harmful behavior. If I discover any artist or vendor using my intellectual property in a way that I (Danielle L. Jensen) deem hateful or harmful, a takedown notice will be issued.

This policy is subject to change if/when merchandise rights are transferred to another entity.
